Our Story

The assisted living industry has always faced a variety of challenges. Luckily, John and Margaret “Maggie” Randolph are natural problem-solvers.

After a personal experience with a loved one showed them firsthand how assisted living services needed to change, our founders took matters into their own hands. John, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and contractor, and Maggie, an architect, designed and constructed senior living accommodations and workforce support services to be the change they wanted to see in the industry. They created GSD Communities to prioritize the needs of both their senior residents and the staff members that keep their mission moving forward.

Today, GSD Communities is an interconnected network of senior living accommodations and workforce support services—but feels more like a family.

Through our workforce support services, we offer affordable local housing and on-site childcare to support the team members that keep our communities strong—as well as in-house construction and architectural teams to keep us growing.
