    The Effective Communication Strategies program of the Alzheimer’s Association - Rescheduled TBD

    Communication is more than just talking and listening – it’s also about sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions and body language. As people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias progress in their journey and the ability to use words is lost, families need new ways to connect. Join us to explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. The Effective Communication Strategies program of the Alzheimer’s Association was designed to provide practical information and resources to help dementia caregivers learn to decode verbal and behavioral messages from people with dementia.     We are very excited to announce that Harmony Homes By the Bay has officially been open for three years!

    We couldn’t have done it without the help of our amazing staff and the support from our residents and families. Please join us in our celebration of this milestone on Thursday, August 28th.     Homeless Veterans Clothing Drive

    Harmony Homes by the Bay

    Let's continue to give thanks this holiday season! December 1st. is Giving Tuesday and we are holding a clothing drive for homeless Veterans at the Bay location. We will drop off donations on December 11th. Please bring warm clothing such as jackets, gloves, hats, and socks to the vestibule and we will distribute them to the Liberty House.
