“When you feel it is no longer safe for your elderly parent to live at home alone & the social isolation gets to be too much, finding a place like Harmony Bay is a blessing. Everyone that works at HB is very nice & caring. There is plenty of staff. The residents get a lot of attention throughout the day & are checked on frequently at night. The atmosphere at HB is very pleasant, they really know what they are doing. The food is very good, my Mom is actually eating again which was a major concern. The building is really nice, all on one floor with a nice hallway that goes around entire place in a big circle with benches & nice sitting areas along the way. The setting is gorgeous, back from the road & right on the bay. There are lots of windows. Very serene. Ashley, the Admissions Director has taken care of every detail for us making the whole process less stressful. Ashley has also made sure our Mom has felt comfortable & welcome. “Our family recently found ourselves in a stressful situation that required moving my Dad to Assisted Living, in a very short window of time. From the first outreach phone call, to taking a tour, and moving my Dad into his new home, the entire team at Harmony Homes worked with us every step of the way. Every question we had (and there were many!) were answered quickly, thoroughly, and in the most supportive way. The building size, grounds, and location are gorgeous, with an ideal configuration for those that reside there.
It is welcoming, warm, and also feels modern, which helped facilitate a very smooth transition. The food is phenomenal, along with the ability for my Dad to sit with his peers at meals and has already made many friends. We are also grateful for all of the hard work put into the activities, my Dad is trying things he never has before and is enjoying them! The entire team should be commended on the care they provide, and equally important, treat my Dad with the utmost care and respect.
